INTRODUCTION

Hi, I'm Mrs. Rubric. I enroll this course because my senior suggest that i have to try this social course before i graduated. I'm talkative girl so the first time I heard
course name that about social make me feel interested in this course. But after I've seen full course name that is "INTEGRATIVE SOCIAL SCIENCE" I think that this course is talk about the fact of society, proof and compare among others society for sure. What i think are only 1% of true. What I expect from this course is to understand more about social science. First time i see you i thought that how foreigner  gonna know if student discuss about Thai society in the deeper way. The lesson that you teach is not attractive for me but the way you talk make me pay more attention to your lesson. I like in class group activity that i can discuss with my friend. I think l earn more discussing skill from this course because my group mate is very serious in every topic. This activity force me to think and give reasons for whatever answer that i think.

CULTURE

In my opinion culture has various meaning. Culture indicate identity of society. You can know what they believe what routine they do by looking through culture. Some people jude some society that they have civilisation or uncivilization by their culture. Culture is “sets of traditions, rules, symbols that shape and are enacted as feelings, thoughts, and behaviors of groups of people” (Giddens, 2005).  It passes from generation to generation and highly impacts to human behavior which helps distinguishing societies (Giddens, 2005). For instance, in some society, most of the people drink coffee as a culture without concerning the caffeine level in the coffee. Also, two people who meet “to have coffee” together are probably more interested in meeting and chatting than in what they drink (Crossman, 2016). Another example can be seen from the marriage and divorce that people think that it involves only two persons. However, the divorce might affect a wider society such that the children might be abandoned. Moreover, in Buddhist society, people usually  buy fish and set it free in to the river as a way of making merit without knowing that it is not the right habitat for them. Plus, this supports the seller to catch more fish out of the catching season.

HUMAN RIGHTS

https://goo.gl/3dJ6AT
At first hour of the last class that amnesty international Thailand came to taught us about human right, she ask we to think about it and wrote what we think on post it then stick it on the wall. Although this is a topic that I have the most knowledge compare with all topic that I have learnt in this course, I have nothing to wrote on it. I only wrote that "human right is to do anything that not disturb another person right". Almost everyone write about respect, law and to do anything in law. It make me know that we don't know much in this way. Guest speaker give us an example of Tungkum Ltd that filing lawsuits to all villagers who protest Tungkam company.

One of villagers is only 15-year old girl student who was reporting on environmental problems caused by the gold mine.At that time I really don't know that why she was sued and what is her false. She only report that how Tungkum ruin her surrounded environment. Guest speaker told me that her false is violate Tungkum human right by defamation Tungkum Ltd. I feel that is not fair. Does Tungkum has to take responsibility
in this case? Guest speaker told me that Tungkum is guilty of ruin environment but this case is separate from the case that Tungkum hit abuses. This case make me know that human right is very important thing. Human right is about equality. If you have your human rights, don't forget that everyone also have human rights too.

Library Dress code

From the content that Aj.Svenn posted on Facebook about library dress code. Many people in and out of KMUTT feeling upset and not agree with this rule but almost everyone respect the rule and wear correct dress code to access library without asking why we have to do like that. One reason I think that this is culture and behaviour group of people. I heard some reason why library have to make that rule because on library have an exhibition of king RAMA 4 on the third floor. So, we have to pay respect by wearing properly cloth. I think it just like a norm.

What student in KMUTT debating at that time is the library should not be made that difficult to access. It should be opened for everyone. In my opinion, what lecturer wear (knee-length pants) is not rude. For me she dress modestly. However, it is not the library false to have the rules. In my point of view, we should met at the middle. I mean library and anyone who access to use library have to make an agreement together to understand each other. The norm of modest cloth in everyone mind is not the same. There are many level of the word "modest cloth". For example, office uniform, the cloth to go to temple. As you can see at the front of the library already have sign of cloth that prohibit to access library but this sign is useless because library accept visitors who wear student uniform even if it is very short skirt and denied visitors who wear like the lecturer in this picture.

For me, to have the rules about dress code is ok because each people have different conscious mind. Without the rules, someone may wear very improper cloth. I don't want to see someone who came to library with very big size of tank top that almost see their tits and armpit hair. That make me feel distracting from reading books. So, the rules should be exiting but the library should have better judgement for dress code.
